What if it is an amount, how do we say it-
Two Lac Fifty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Seventy

What if it is a phone number, then how do we say it-
Two Five Eight Five Seven Zero

Moreover, consider changing a digit in this number,
e.g. change 2 into 3
258570 to 358570

if this is a phone number, then it doesn't bother us in case we are purchasing a new phone number.

but if this is an amount, then it will make a large difference of 1 Lac.

Consider another case of changing a digit,
e.g. change 7 to 5
258570 to 258550

if this is old phone number, then changing a digit will bother us a lot because it will become a whole new phone number.

if this is an amount, then it will make a small difference of Twenty that doesn't bother us.

So, when value of a number is considered, then it should be of numeric data type. And when each digit in a number has it own importance, then it is considered of text data type
